It is a picturesque town on the bank of Myitnge River renowned for bustling markets and interesting local lives. A charming and laid-back town located high in the hills of Shan State, Hsipaw’s dusty streets, traditional buildings, and trekking opportunities are worth the effort of getting. The Central Market at Hsipaw is one of the best markets to visit in all of Myanmar. Shans, Kachins, and other tribals come here to trade regularly. According to Myanmar’s history, Hsipaw is probably the most notable, wealthiest and powerful, along with Keng Tung and Nyaung Shwe.
